Odette,Flora,Mimi,Jean,Linda, Ken, Marilyn went to Deep cove. We walked down commercial to Powell and caught 210 to Phibbs exchange,then caught 212 to deep cove at Phibbs.We arrived in Deep Cove which has a village and beautiful scenery of Burrard Inlet /Indian arm. We walked through the village and saw a coffee/gelato shop with a electric train running on the ceiling ledge going around the store and outside it was neat. We ate our lunch in Panorama park overlooking the inlet and Indian Arm Afterward we walked through the park and along the road which is connected to the Baden Powell trail and walked to where the actual trail starts and saw a beautiful waterfall. This trip is beautiful and you can also take from Powell and Commercial the 211which goes to Phibbs exchange but you do not have to change buses as 211 goes up Mt seymour parkway and then to Deep Cove. Walk lead by Marilyn.
We did a extra walk on May 24 to New Westminster Hyaak festival and saw the anvil salute at 12:00 (21 SALUTE) at queens park. We took the millianium line to new station and then caught l06 to 6th Street and Queens Ave and walked to queens park.
