"Relay for Life" held in more than 400 communities. Vancouver date & location is May 29-30 at Hastings Racetrack. It is a 12 hour event. Starts at 7pm the Friday & ends next morning at 7am, it is NON-COMPETITIVE. That is one can walk-run or even STROLL the track.
Another big + is that Dianne Smith (Britannia) is the team captain. Her team is called "Britannia Wranglers". This event is for anyone touched by cancer.
"TEAM BRITANNIA WRANGLERS" is needing new people to join.

This is a very worthwhile & fulfilling event. The first lap done is called the "Victory Lap". This includes all cancer survivors + their caregivers if any. The twilight service will be very touching & heartfelt as hundreds of candles will be lit honouring loved ones that have passed away from this cruel disease. This "Relay for Life" is a coming together for people that have been challenged by cancer.
